Activities of Daily Living (ADL)

HomeCare includes those services which we generally refer to as Activities of Daily Living, or ADLs. Each Client has different needs throughout the day or week, and our HomeCare Nurses develop a specific “Plan of Care” for each Client which addresses those needs.
The extent of those services, depending on the individual, may range from Standby Assistance, Cueing and Reminders, to Hands-On Assistance. Every client is encouraged to maintain their independence to the highest degree possible.

Activities of Daily Living include:

Hygiene – Bathing, Grooming, Dressing
Toileting
Transferring
Mobility
Positioning
Exercise
Eating
Meal Prep
Medication Reminders

Shopping
Household cleaning
Laundry
Transportation for Medical Appointments
Transportation out in the community
Assistance organizing mail
Walkway maintenance

Private Duty Nursing (PDN)

In addition to our Personal Care Services, HomeCare Montana Nurses also provide some Private Duty Nursing Services. For more information about these services, please call or email us.

Medicaid Self-Direct Program

In addition to the list of Activities of Daily Living, those Clients who are authorized for services through the Medicaid Self-Direct Program can receive the following Health Maintenance services: Bowel Program, Urinary Systems Management, Wound Care, and Medication Management.

Medicaid Waiver Services

In addition to the list of Activities of Daily Living, Clients who are authorized for services through the Medicaid Waiver Program can receive” Social Supervision” and “Homemaker” services.
